Baby Monitors – When is it Time to Get My Own? Children are in fact the true blessing of life. Everything else tends to fade out when compared to your children. They are the joy of my life and I am confident that you feel the same about yours. Work, stress, bills and taxes, friends, holidays, what else haven’t I mentioned? They all come and go every day, every month, every year. You are forced or pleased to deal with any of these at a certain time. But whatever you do, you do it for your kids. You go through work’s chores everyday for your kids. You get stressed out for or because of them. You face your bills, you plan you mortgages for their future. You get your friends involved more or less in your life because of your children. You even plan your time off to suit your children’s needs. Feel like you have suddenly matured? I know I do. The life I had before Liv can’t be at all compared to the way things are in the present. In a positive way of course if you were wondering by any chance. That doesn’t mean that things are necessarily easier since we had our first daughter. All those activities I mentioned before, they all stayed the same. The trick was that we had a new baby born to watch out for. Less sleep, less free time and a whole new set of responsibilities. Of course we could have never managed on our own, and despite the fact that our family and friends were always there to help, we couldn’t start passing Liv around while me and my wife were away for business. And of course we were not able to manage our schedules so one of us was always present when she needed us. This is where the baby monitor came in real handy. The moment when Liv started feeling comfortable sleeping by herself was not the moment we started sleeping comfortable. We started to imagine sounds that were not there, crying in the middle of the night or what not. When I realized that moving her cradle back to our room was not going to be a long term solution I began searching for a way to monitor our baby girl. Various questions emerged… what are the best baby monitors on the market? How much money should I invest in them? Do I want a baby video monitor? Will I be able to monitor my daughter at her first date? Well for some of these questions I found my answer, and for the rest I still have some time to find it. One thing is certain, if you are reading these lines than you are most likely answering to them too. The only thing I can assure you is that baby monitors will make your parenting easier as they did it for me. These simple devices done it for me. Weather Liv takes a nap or sleeps through the day we are monitoring her. We hear and watch her whenever we want too without having to sleep in the same room as her. It turned out to be very helpful indeed. Nightmares, hunger, wet clothes, even laughter before sleeping, you name it. We heard them all through one of this baby monitors. And it gave a breath of fresh air to our sleeping time, dinner with friends or the bring-work-at-home activities. So all in all when is it time to get your own? Your own baby monitor? Well how about right now? If you are browsing for your first monitor or you just want to replace your old one with a brand new one then you should already be buying yours. Not only will you recycle your time fast but you will also get that safety feeling we all need. And the precious moments of watching you kid whenever you feel like it without disturbing her first dreams is maybe one of the most important assets these tiny devices have.
