Baby Beds – The Center Piece of the Baby’s Room
I have always wanted children. Coming from a large family with brothers and sisters, with cousins and family friends that had children of their own I can’t imagine life without them. As my wife was pregnant with my first daughter – which at the time was still a mystery as neither of us wanted to know before hand what it will be – we started decorating the baby’s future room. We picked the colors, we picked the toys, the furniture, the stroller and the baby’s first bed, her future crib. It was so much fun. Seems like yesterday that we were wondering where each and every piece will fit. Needless to say we rearranged the room a dozen times before she was born and probably a dozen times right after.
And here we are… she is now two years and a half. She cries and she laughs and she grows. A few months ago I first caught her climbing up and down her crib to get her favorite toy. Which of course she threw out a moment before just because they might have had an argument. I don’t exactly know. A thing is certain. That happened again and again despite the fact that I told her that she is not allowed to do that.
After a quick family council we have decided that we need to move on to the next level. Her first baby bed. Not bigger than the old crib. But at least we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about unwanted accidents waiting to happen. Some will say sure, you could have just removed one of its sides. But we needed the change of air. We went through magazines, baby furniture shops, and especially online stores in search for our baby beds.
And of course when I said changing the air that is what I meant. We have reshaped the room in such a way that my little girl will be safe at all times, and not able to suffer any inconvenient accident. We were in fact forced a little to change the whole ambiance as I was looking for a modern baby bed and my wife was leaning more towards an antique baby bed. Let’s just say that I got to pick the next bed – in about 2 to 3 years time – and we purchased something like my wife had in mind.
In no longer than a week the new baby room was up and running. And my little pumpkin was happily running around discovering her new universe. And we were too, knowing now that she will be safer after those arguments with her favorite toys.
So there it is ladies and gentlemen. In my opinion choosing your precious bed for your loved ones will definitely have an impact on the baby’s room itself. But in the world we live in, change is welcome. Everything changes for a reason. It’s only natural and now so affordable. Sure there is nothing too expensive for your children. Think about it, you are already saving money for college which only proves my point. In fact their happiness comes first. You might choose new baby beds, already used ones, round baby beds, anything but a baby travel bed. It is a change that is already waiting for you. No matter what age your child is. They grow and grow and the furniture around them must therefore grow too. It is up to you and you alone, ok and your husband or wife, if you want to completely redo the room, the floor or who knows, the whole house. But a new bed is the element that will for sure dominate the perspective on that baby’s room both from your and his/her point of view.
